Built in 1797, Farthings retains its original character. It is close to the river at Ringmore and a short level walk to Shaldon Village.
The beautifully presented Bedrooms contain period furnishings. Each has colour TV and refreshment making facilities.
There is a pretty garden for guests to enjoy, where cream teas are served during the summer.
A warm welcome awaits and large breakfasts follow. Our aim is to provide both quality and service.
Shaldon, located on the South Devon coastal path, is a pretty, former fishing village with many pubs, restaurants and tearooms. There are both a river and a sea beach (accessed through an old "Smugglers" tunnel). A regular ferry runs from the river beach to Teignmouth. The miniature rare breeds zoo is involved in conservation.
Shaldon is ideally situated for exploring the surrounding area, with Dartmoor, Exeter and the towns of Torquay, Dawlish, Newton Abbot, Totnes, Paignton, Brixham and Dartmouth all easily accessible.
